I have been so busy with school and testing that I have seriously neglected this blog, if not the entire Quickstep Universe. The book signings at Barnes and Noble and Hastings were fun, but less productive than I'd like. I have been struggling to get into a groove for writing, but I'm pushing forward with a few different projects at present.
First, I'm a couple of chapters into book three in the Earth Bound series. It is going places I didn't quite expect, but I can tell it will be the best of the three when it's done. There are new characters, and old ones, and new settings as well as new times that our characters visit. I can't tell you how excited I am about this book.
Second, I am several chapters into a new addition to the Quickstep Universe. It will be a kids book targeted for about 3rd to fifth grade readers. Quentin and Jason are not involved in any way. It is a totally new plotline and a new idea for time travel. Preliminary readings for the target age group are being well received and I'll keep you up to date on it. I plan on including a few illustrations in this one, and I'm very excited to begin work with my illustrator on this very soon.
Third, I am planning revisions for my original Quickstep storyline. This is Quentin's best friend, Jason MacKenzie's adventure. It will be for an LDS audience. The story should appeal to just about anyone who likes my unique twist on the scifi genre, but my LDS readers will probably make stronger connections to the storyline and characters. Quentin is a part of the story, and it takes place a few years before the events of Earth Bound. (Sorry, no aliens this time around)
And finally, I am toying with the idea of putting Not Alone on CD and I'm looking for input on whether this would be something in which people might be interested. Let me know what you think.
Don't forget to like the Quickstep Universe on Facebook, rate the books on Amazon, and tell your friends about the excitement to be found in the Earth Bound series!
